From the first moment that I stepped into a jewellery workshop, I stood at the beginning of what I knew would be a profound love story. A love, not only of precious metals and gems, but also of ancient jewellery crafting techniques, and a love for everything that my own hands would learn to create.
Fast forward three years, and I proudly held a diploma in jewellery design and manufacture from Durban University of Technology.
In 2015, during my second year of the diploma, I started Maiden Stone. Post-graduation, a wanderlust spirit took me to Southeast Asia. But in 2019, I returned to Durban with a mind filled to the brim with ideas and hands eager to dive back into my true love – jewellery.
